Terms of Service

Last updated: July 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DocuShield AI platform and website (the "Service"), operated by DocuShield AI, a FestFam Labs product ("DocuShield," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Not a law firm. Not legal advice. DocuShield is self-help software. We are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and we do not provide legal advice, opinions, recommendations, or representation. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship, and your communications with us are not protected by attorney-client privilege. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

1. Self-Help Tool

The Service provides general legal information, automated document analysis, and self-help tools to help you understand and organize your own legal matters. Outputs — including settlement estimates, risk scores, checklists, and generated documents — are informational, automated, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for reviewing all outputs and for any decisions you make. The Service is not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable Use

4. Plans, Billing & Quotas

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. Free plans and per-plan document quotas are described on our pricing page and may change. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid except as required by law.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the documents and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We handle your content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that outputs are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your specific legal matter, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCUSHIELD AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR LEGAL RIGHTS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocuShield from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

9. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and DocuShield waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. If this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of New York.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
